Total effect :

30 MW

Annual production :

30 GWh/year

Planned start of construction :

2027

In connection to our existing wind farm in Femstenaberg in northern Bohuslän, we are now planning to add a solar park of up to 30 MW. When completed, the solar park is expected to produce nearly 30 GWh/year, which corresponds to the consumption of household electricity for about 6,000 Swedish households/year.

Femstenaberg is our first hybrid energy park where several types of energy interact. We have commissioned our first large-scale Battery Energy Storage System ("BESS") facility here – a 20 MW / 20 MWh installation.

What happens next?

One of the benefits of combined energy parks is that we can utilise existing infrastructure, for example we don't need a decision on a new grid connection but can use the one that already exists at the wind farm. We are now waiting for an authorisation from the Swedish Electricity Market Authority to do just that. Then we look forward to getting started with the construction of the solar park.
