In the municipality of Aneby, Rabbalshede Kraft is developing the onshore wind farm Lönhult together with landowners in the region. The wind farm consists of four wind turbines with a total height of 210 meters and is located in an area designated in Aneby municipality’s wind farm plan as suitable for wind power, approximately two kilometers west of the county border to Östergötland, and one kilometer north of the border to Eksjö municipality.

Fully operable, the park is estimated to have an annual production capacity of approximately 80 GWh, which is the equivalent of the electricity consumption of around 15 000 Swedish households with an average consumption of 5 500 kWh per year.

What’s happening in the project right now?

In April 2022, we received permission from the Land and Environment Court of Appeal to build the four planned wind turbines. We are currently working on procuring a construction entrepreneur and turbine supplier for the project, with the ambition of starting construction of the park in 2025. When the park is operational, it will contribute a welcome addition of renewable electricity to southern Sweden.
