In Femstenaberg in the municipality of Strömstad, our very first energy park combines wind power and battery storage.

In October 2025 we successfully commissioned our first large-scale Battery Energy Storage System ("BESS") facility in our existing wind farm Femstenaberg – a 20 MW / 20 MWh installation. The battery will primarily be used for support services for Svenska Kraftnät (the authority responsible for Sweden's transmission system for electricity) and optimisation in our own park.

The battery facility is delivered by Alfen, an established player in the European energy transition with extensive experience in battery storage systems and system integration. In addition to supplying the battery, we have also entered into a 10-year service agreement for monitoring and maintenance with Alfen, which ensures long-term operational reliability and efficiency.
