Our first energy park!

We want to help drive the development of efficient and sustainable solutions forward. That's why we're looking at how we can develop our parks from pure wind farms to energy parks where, in addition to wind power, we also add other technologies.

In October 2025 we successfully commissioned our first large-scale Battery Energy Storage System ("BESS") facility in our existing wind farm Femstenaberg – a 20 MW / 20 MWh installation – marking the inauguration of the Company's first hybrid energy park.

The battery will be used to supply support services to Svenska Kraftnät, which helps to support and ensure the balance in the power system. In this energy park we are also planning a 30 MW solar plant. When fully developed, the energy park, together with the neighbouring Lursäng wind farm, is expected to produce up to 200 GWh/year. This corresponds to the consumption of household electricity for around 40,000 Swedish households/year. In the long term, we also hope to be able to add production of green hydrogen to enable an even greater energy benefit from the park.

One benefit of adding solar power and battery storage to the park is that we get a more even supply to the electricity grid when different types of energy work together. In addition, it is more efficient from a cost and land use perspective to allow different resources to share the same infrastructure, such as access to the electricity grid.
