We want to help drive the development of efficient and sustainable solutions forward. That's why we're looking at how we can develop our parks from pure wind farms to energy parks where, in addition to wind power, we also add other technologies. Since 2013, we have owned and operated the Årjäng SV wind farm with eight wind turbines and an annual production of 111 GWh. The farm will now be complemented with a battery to store the energy.

In the future, we hope to add more energy sources such as solar power or green hydrogen production, but the first step will be a battery with a capacity of 20 MW / 20 MWh. The battery will be used to supply support services to Svenska Kraftnät, which helps to support and ensure the balance of the power system. In addition, it is more efficient from a cost and land use perspective to allow different resources to share the same infrastructure, such as access to the electricity grid.

Construction of the battery will start in 2025, with the aim of putting it into operation as early as 2026.
